New baby quilt patterns are on the top of my list now that summer is here.
I use to say, “Sew much fabric, sew little time,” but I can’t use that excuse now. I teach during the school daytime, and since the school year ended, I do have some extra hours on my hands. My thoughts are like many who would like to make their own baby quilt, where do I start?
Baby quilt patterns are SEW special.
Designing a unique baby quilt is always a challenge for the experience quilter, who is looking for a new and different idea from the usual and typical design in their pattern collection or the novice quilter, who is just beginning to jump into the wonder world of quilting and is looking to find a simple pattern to complete their first project. Either way the pattern design is so special and needs your utmost consideration.
The weekend is here. Checking out the stash? You are itching to start a new quilt but with the summer here, you are just not willing to invest the hours needed to start a full-sized quilt.
I have an idea for you. Rag quilts are easy and fun to make and you really can make one in a weekend – from start to finish following the complete step-by-step directions. In less than 17 hours, you can cut the fabric, sew the blocks together, and fringe the quilt.
