My story is simple – I love to make baby quilts. It’s my passion.
Welcome to Unique Baby Quilt Boutique! I’m Sharon, though many of my customers know me simply as “The Baby Quilt Lady.” From my studio in Naples, Florida, I dedicate my time to creating one-of-a-kind, handmade baby quilts that are designed to be as functional as they are beautiful.
As a youngster, I learned the art of quilting and the love of sewing from my grandmother. I spent hours beside her, listening to the hum of her sewing machine and watching her hands gently rock back and forth. She created the beautiful patchwork quilts I grew to treasure, and those moments with her shaped the quilter I am today.
Many scores of my own baby quilts later, I decided to blend this lifelong passion with a new adventure — selling my quilts online. And that’s how Unique Baby Quilt Boutique was born.
The Art of the Handmade Heirloom
Every quilt I create is a labor of love. I specialize in paper-pieced designs and themed playmats that tell a story. Whether it’s a vibrant yellow football theme for a future sports fan or a classic nautical sailboat design, I use only premium cotton and soft flannel to ensure that each piece becomes a cherished family heirloom.
Why I Focus on Unique Designs
In a world of mass-produced nursery bedding, I believe every baby deserves something unique. That’s why you won’t find “factory” patterns here. I personally select every fabric—from cozy minky to breathable cotton—to ensure your little one has a safe, soft, and stylish place to grow.
I don’t consider myself an artist, but I do create unique handmade baby quilts that keep your precious little one warm and comforted. Perhaps the quilt you choose today will someday be passed down — from your child to their own child — just like the quilts my grandmother made for me.
My handmade children’s quilts and baby crib quilts make perfect keepsake gifts. They’re thoughtful choices for baby showers, christenings, new grandchildren, coworkers, or dear friends. A handmade patchwork quilt becomes a childhood treasure that lasts a lifetime.
My quilts are soft, cuddly, and often include a wonderful “touch and feel” element. Many feature a luxurious fabric called Minky — silky, plush, and as soft as cashmere. When paired with 100% cotton flannel, it adds an extra layer of comfort that babies love.
I am a mother of four, a wife, and a retired Gifted Education teacher of over 40 years. I’ve always been a lifelong learner, and quilting continues to be my joy, my creative outlet, and the way I share a little love with the world.
