A baby quilt is a special gift from Grandma to the new grandbaby.
Just like the other family members, Grandma is SEW excited about the arrival of a new baby. It is time to go shopping for new little outfits, a car seat, or just boxes of diapers. Yet, this grandmother is a quilter, she is itching to pick out fabric and patterns and start stitching that special baby quilt for her newest grandchild.
Pink, blue, yellow, green… The sonogram has confirmed that the baby is going to be a girl! Mom and Dad have decided that “Abigail Grace” will have a pink and brown nursery, so Grandma can start to pull out the fabrics choices and design the baby quilt. Actually, Grandma made you two!!!
With extra fabric, burp cloths in the same prints will add to the gifts for the new Mom. Grandma always has extra yardage and with matching binding, the Abby will have a few receiving blankets that match her new quilts.
