“We tend to forget that happiness doesn’t come as a result of getting something we don’t have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.” ~Frederick Keonig
The sale flyer had just been delivered and I was a bit saddened by the wonderful opportunities that were going to slide right by me this time. Moving on and recognizing that there was more in my baby quilt stash, than the store had to offer, I took the time to rearrange the material hidden in the closest, under the bed, in the drawers… I had the best 4 hours just finding beautiful reds, lovely greens, and hidden lavenders that were lost from my view and are now found.
Many opportunities in life need to have just a few minutes of your time. Stop and realize that each of us have so much already in our lives, just like the materials stashed in so many places in my house. Our daily lives are cluttered with schedules that block us from appreciating those colorful reds, greens, and lavenders.
Happiness is what we do have.
Look for my new baby quilt coming out soon.
Time to quilt.
